Job Description

ONASSIS FOUNDATION launches a new inter(national) artist-in-residence & artistic research program and space, the Onassis Process Space, which will provide time, space and other resources to the Greek and international artists and makers in order to concentrate on artistic research that is free from pressures of production. Onassis Process Space program is based on the principles of self-learning and learning by doing.


ONASSIS PROCESS SPACE, the recent program of Onassis Foundation, is looking for a Production Manager/Dramaturg, who will oversee all production details of the program and future building, organizing off-site activities in and outside of Greece, as well as more dramaturgical and content development responsibilities.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Develop dramaturgical and curatorial and other content specific ideas in relation for the overall program, i.e. specific thematics, workshops, talks, thematic dinners etc
  • Monitor each residency, artistic research fellowship, exchange residency and other activities- both in the studios, on location, as well as preparatory dramaturgical conversations relating to each activity. Be in the building, in the studios, on location during collective trips, and other fantastical and yet unknown places and spaces
  • Identify and manage partnerships for each activity, including locations as well as co-productions and funding locally, nationally and internationally
  • Manage the line production of each assigned program component and the path each artist or activity takes prior, during and following individual residencies, artistic research fellowships, and group activities in-house and on-location
  • Negotiate contracts with artists and institutional partners in Greece and internationally and personally oversee artist hospitality including airfare, lodging, visas etc
  • Create and manage annual production budget and track expenses for each program strand
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the program, event-specific equipment rentals and hiring of freelance technicians or production people

Job Requirements

Eligible candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • University degree in relevant field
  • At least 3 years of proven work experience in relevant position, i.e. arts administrator, production manager, or dramaturg, in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Proven knowledge of Greek & international contemporary performance or time-based visual arts communities
  • Excellent knowledge of English verbal and written
  • Excellent knowledge of Apple & Windows software
  • Very good command of MS Office Applications
  • Familiarity with basic event and post-production audio, video, photo equipment and software will be considered as an advantage
